Behind the Scenes Tour of Gill Mill Quarry. Join Alison Hopewell, Project Officer, Lower Windrush Valley Project and Martin Layer, Planning and Estates Manager, Smith & Sons (Bletchington) Ltd for a behind the scenes tour of Gill Mill Quarry.
There will be an opportunity to see all aspects of this operational site including active mineral extraction, the processing plant and how the worked out gravel pits are being restored for leisure and nature conservation. Date : Gill Mill Quarry, Standlake Road, Ducklington, OX29 7PP Grid ref: SP 373 074. Places need to be booked in advance and numbers will be strictly limited to 20 people max. Hard hats & high viz jackets provided - please wear stout boots. Distance: 2 miles/3km max. - the tour is likely to follow a linear route with a shuttle bus to return people to their cars. If the weather is poor the bus may be used for the whole tour.

Wychwood Forest Fair
This year’s Forest Fair will be held at Cornbury Park, just off the B4220 between Finstock and Charlbury, on Sunday 6th September. £5 per adult – Parking free – Under 16s free.
