Hanna mapping lost ponds
Hannah worked on a great project last summer. She use old Ordnance Survey maps to map ponds in the area in the 1870s then used modern maps to record where there are ponds today. From this she created a record and maps to show where ponds have been lost and/or gained. As well as providing the Project with a brilliant information resource she gained a lot of experience for herself in the use of GIS mapping systems.
We also have a hedgerow survey and old tree surveying projects with the potential for others if someone has a particular interest they wish to follow.
