Wychwood: The evolution of a wooded landscape by Beryl Schumer

As both a Royal Forest and an extensive area of woodland, Wychwood was a dominant feature in the life and landscape of West Oxfordshire for at least 800 years. This book details the history of woodland in the region.

Wychwood Forest and its Border Places by John Kibble

Like his father and grandfather before him, John Kibble was a stonemason. Born in 1865, his memories are of people who lived and worked in, remembered the life of, the forest villages in the 1700s and 1800s.
