Rural skills courses
Information on how you can get training in rural skills.
Wychwood Project Green Woodworking Courses
In collaboration with Oxfordshire Stronger Communities Alliance (OSCA) the Wychwood Project is promoting a variety of green woodworking training courses.
These courses are part of a new initiative for the Wychwood Project to explore ways to add value to the small size wood that can be harvested relatively easily from local woodlands. As well as providing training in once common traditional rural skills we hope these course and the items produced can be used to generate interest amongst the wider community about these activities and the products they can create.
Anyone is welcome but we will be particularly interested to hear from anyone who might be interested in joining a regular workgroup for making products such as gates, hurdles and garden structures for local markets.
To ensure the best possible training experience course sizes will be kept small, with no more than six people per course. All tools and materials will be provided.
Cost £20 per course/ £15 for members of the Friends of Wychwood
We are in the process of arranging dates. For further information please call Nick Mottram on 01865 815424.
